About Us

Owner Rutger Meister was born and raised in Janesville, Wisconsin. Having family roots throughout the surrounding communities, Janesville is what he calls “home.” One of Rutger’s goals of starting Janesville Chimney & Fireplace was to build a company that gives back to the community and keeps families safe that live and work in the area he loves.

As a family man, his wife and son are his biggest motivation. He says “I want to treat every home with the same attention as my own.”
